Spring 2021 Wrap-Up

Spring 2021 Wrap-Up

Well this is embarrassing. I didn’t mean to just disappear, I promise. I just had trouble managing my time properly and then I just… enjoyed not writing? Which is strange, because I do love blogging and I missed it.

How has everyone been? My spring as been pretty exciting. My internship is over and now I’m back to job hunting, but I have a little bit more… faith? Energy? I don’t know what the right word for it is, but I have it. I’ve learned a lot during this process, and I’m just excited and hopeful.

Let’s get started with this wrap up though, because I have 3 months worth of wrapping up to do.

Books Read

I didn’t read as many books as I could have, but I honestly enjoyed the slower pace. I read a total of 23 books this season, and I’m actually happy with how all over the place they were in terms of genres. I have a few plans for the upcoming months, and hopefully I’ll do more reading because I’ll have a little bit of more free time. Here’s the full list of the books I’ve read:

  • Border Lord by Arnette Lamb – 5★
  • Wicked Deeds On A Winter’s Night by Kresley Cole – 5★ | My Review
  • Your Dad Will Do by Katee Robert – 5★
  • Desperate Measures by Katee Robert – 5★
  • The Hunter by Kerrigan Byrne – 5★
  • Angels’ Blood by Nalini Singh – 5★
  • The Rebel Queen by Lexi Blake – 5★ | My Review
  • Oleg Federov’s Third Chance by Lex Blake – 5★
  • Taggart Family Values by Lexi Blake – 5★ | My Review
  • Bayou Dreaming by Lexi Blake – 5★
  • From The Embers by Aly Martinez – 5★
  • Shadow Of The Fox by Julie Kagawa – 5★
  • No Rest For The Wicked by Kresley Cole – 4.5★ | My Review
  • If Only I Had A Duke by Lenora Bell – 4.5★
  • A Hunger Like No Other by Kresley Cole – 4★ | My Review

  • Belinda Blinked 4 by Rocky Flintstone – no rating
  • Belinda Blinked 5 by Rocky Flintstone – no rating
  • Hazel, The Outlaw Mummy by Bob DeMoss – no rating

Summer TBR

I actually plan on making a dent to my freebie collection, on top of my physical TBR. I have a little bit of a freebie addiction and um… yeah I have a lot of those. So I’ve made up a TBR and I’m loading them on my ereader and I’ll be reading them this summer.

Song Of The Season

I discovered many songs this spring and it’s actually hard to pick just one, so I’ll give you 3 instead. You know, one for each month? March actually was a slow month in terms of how many songs I added to my Sounds of 2021 playlist, but the one I loved the most was A Fool For You by Ray Charles. April is 100% governed by the one song by Radio Company that I couldn’t stop listening to while waiting for the album to drop, and that is Quarter To. The temptation to add another Radio Company song here is strong, but I shall hold strong. I do urge you to listen to their second album, because it is just fantastic. For May I chose Lipstick by Kip Moore. I’m trying something new for June, and that is allowing the people that I follow on Spotify chose what I listen, and it’s an interesting experience. But more on that next month.

Show Of The Season

Listen, Buffy is on Prime and that’s all I cared bout in May. And before that I watched a few documentaries on Netflix, but none that truly truly stood out. Because Buffy.

What about you guys? How was your Spring? Did you read everything you wanted to read, watch everything you wanted to watch?

  1. Sureeeeee Ruby, sureeeeee. But hey, I get missing blogging but not enjoying writing. I hope that feeling will go away for you soon! (But who am I kidding, I’m still struggling.)

Also JUST A LITTLE ADDICTION? WHAT’S YOUR DEFINITION OF “A LITTLE?” I wouldn’t have two memes dedicated to your ARC/freebie addiction if it were “A LITTLE.” 🙄
