Blogmas Day 11: 2020 The End of the Year Book Tag

Welcome to day 11 of Blogmas! You know, based on my reading mood right now, I seriously doubt I’ll be able to do much reading in the last 20 days of this year. So I decided to do this tag earlier than I had initially planned. This is a tag that I’ve done in the past, but it’s always fun to do it.

2020 The End of the Year Book Tag

  • Are there any books you started this year that you need to finish? 

I…yes. I have a TON of books that seem to have a permanent residence on my nightstand. I just can’t seem to get myself to finish them. And it’s not because I don’t want to, it’s because I have a really hard time concentrating on reading right now.

  • Is there a new release you’re still waiting for? 

You know, for the first time in… a long time, I am not that excited about many upcoming books. I’ve been focusing on clearing up my Netgalley backlog, my freebie collection on Kindle is insane, and I have a ton of books on my physical shelves that are waiting for me, so I’m focused on reading more backlist books in the upcoming year.

  • What are three books you want to read before the end of the year? 

Beach Read by Emily Henry

The Hunter by Kerrigan Byrne

Duke By Default by Alyssa Cole

  • Is there a book you think could still shock you and become your favorite book of the year?

Based on some friends’ reactions to Beach Read, I definitely think this could end up being my favorite read of the year, but the same could be said about The Hunter too. So…who knows?

  • Have you already started making reading plans for 2021?

Yes I have. Surprisingly there aren’t many reading challenges that I want to sign up to, or at least the ones I want to do haven’t been announced yet. It’s mostly goals and me keeping up with some of the reading challenges that I had fun doing in 2020, even if they end up not being hosted in 2021.
