Sunday Post #15: The Week I Got Inspired

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

This week was still a rather strange one. I had classes again, and my brain was occupied mostly with that, but! Something did happen. So… Last Sunday, in a moment of total inspiration I scheduled three posts in advance for this week, and as I sat down on Wednesday to write posts for the rest of the week… nothing…came to me. Except Blogmas content. I thought well…since I already have these ideas in my head, I might as well draft the posts because I’m terrible at remembering my ideas if I don’t put them down. Next thing I know I’ve drafted almost all posts for a full month of Blogmas.

I’m currently trying to figure out what graphics I want to use, so I’ll probably hop on Canva in a little bit. But yeah, this is where I’ve been this week. How has your week been so far?

What I Read

I read a total of 6 books this week. I’m surprised, really, because I have been struggling with being able to focus on one book. Granted, two were audios and I kinda made myself sit down and not put on music and pull up an audio book instead, and audios seem to be easier for me these days. And one was a reread, but I really needed that reread.

When I say very dark by the way…trust me. It… very dark. So just… Yeah. Be aware of that if you want to go to the Goodreads page!

What I Watched

Just like last week, just my regular shows Sen Çal Kapımı, and Bu Şehir Arkandan Gelecek. I am trying not to start more shows, because I’m as bad at completing them as I am with books these days. I still have Siyah Beyaz Aşk to finish, which I love, but I am just not in the right frame of mind for it. Which I know that looking at the books I read this week makes no sense, because this show is definitely tamer than those books in terms of how dark it gets, but there you go.

What I Listened To

Well I just saw that Chris Stapleton released a new album so I’m listening to that. I also hear some new to me Luke Combs songs and I’m in love.

That’s it from me, guys. How was your week? Did you get any good books this week? Did you read any good blog posts? Share in the comments!

  1. Wow, you had an amazing week! I only read two books again, and it took me all week to finish them! I was distracted by binge-watching and scrolling through News Feeds…which I should curtail.
    Enjoy the week ahead!

  2. ooh I read Dark Notes years ago and actually really enjoyed it. I moved away from the dark romances but I’m still remembering it fondly.

    • I didn’t expect half of the stuff that happened in Dark Notes to happen. I adored it. Surprisingly to me it’s always dark romances that get me out of a reading slump. But i do have to be in the right frame of mind for them. Thank you for stopping by!

      • I feel that if you have a genre/niche that works for you, hold on to it! For me it’s usually re-reads that get me out of slumps, but there are some tropes that always work better than others.

  3. I have been switching from outside work to indoor projects with the weather cool down this week. So I have been in a blog ahead mode. Yesterday, I created all the shells for my Sunday posts for 2021 and this week I hope to get the posts set up for Library Love and the Read-along, as well as a little work on the Top 10 posts for December. I think you just have to work on things when you can so it’s great you got those ideas ready to go. You also had a great reading week! Take care and stay well!
